Yeah ... so I've been quite out-of-it lately after the past two totally *insane* weekends. Its been soooo rewarding reconnecting with jonfu and I am certain I won't let us drift as far apart this time. Anways ... lots of cool stuff going on so i'll just be doing a flurry of small posts as I think of stuff, but for now I am going to get back to the drawing I am just finishing before I color it =)

I've been totally busy trying to keep up with work and a strict regimen of drawing daily. On top of that I had a blast of a weekend hangin' out with old friends in SF.
Well ... I hate to make things long, especially when I am just posting news, so here's the abbreviated version. Friday I cut out of work early to meet up with Jonfu at my place. From there we shot up to the city and immediately hit up the W for some drinks. We stayed there until we met up with another one of our good HS friends, Kat, and of course continued to have a few drinks. Once we hit the road we wandered for a bit then ended up at this spooky Owl bar that had pictures of owls everywhere ... krazy. Eventually, and I'm not sure at all when, we met up with Kat's b/f and we all went out to North Beach to grab some dinner and hit up some other bars. Eventually the bars closed and we were forced to vacate :( So it was back to the car and back to San Jo.
Saturday we started off a bit slow and Jonfu and I ended up in the city around 4ish. At that point we were just chillin' for a bit walkin' around and waiting to meet up with Kat again. We decided to be lazy that day and so we went to see Bad Boys II, and dammit, we had to sit in the second row! I hate that! Anyways ... it was okay. After the movie Kat had to split and Jonfu and I returned to our goto location ... the W. Once again we lounged there for the better part of the evening as we met up with other old friends ... Reido and Bhaj. Some time late we left to go to North Beach and find some food and a new bar, and we ended up at a pretty nice place that offered cigars :) So ... there we were, 4 old HS buddies reunited with drinks in one hand and a nice cigar in the other ... man, life just doesn't get any better than that. Once the bar closed we eventually scattered and went our ways, but that night certainly goes in the history books. fo' sho.
And now I won't even talk about Sunday after all that goodness ... :)

I woke up this morning feeling more tired then when I went to bed, it was one of those strange nights where you have an exhausting dream that lasts the whole night. I don't remember the specifics of the dream as usual, but I do know it was one of those escape from your own nightmare type dreams. The ones where you feel like you are constantly pursued by something and always pressured to run or escape. I hate those, makes me feel uneasy. Just wanted to share.

I decided to name the site "Man's End" and so of course that is the natural name for the url of the site. So now "mansend.com" and "mans-end.com" are the correct url's. I think I like the hyphenated one best.

Not once, but twice. In the same weekend. Ugh.
I remember back in the day ... T2 was the coolest f*#in' movie ever made. I think it lost its appeal because I watched it so many times. Well, don't think I'll feel the same way about T3 even though it turned out much better than I thought it would.
All I have to say is that the ending is perfect. Nothing fancy. Nothing twisted. Just a good ending to a meager movie. What I hated is that the whole movie seemed to take place on a nice sunny day. I missed the darkness of the first film. Plus the terminatrix was a bit of a joke. She should have kicked somebodies ass. Now I just hope there is a Terminator 4 that shows the war with the machines.

Got back from a week in Cape Cod and Boston ... 4th of July in Boston is awesome =)
This'll be a good occasion for using the extended entry i'd say.
Don't know how much detail I will go into since ... well, I am impatient and don't want to sit here typing and remembering for an hour. Anyways ... here goes.
Saturday was a big fat waste of a day ... not only did i get about 4 hours of sleep and wake up at 5:30, but then I got to sit on planes and buses all damn day. We got to Cape Cod at about 10:00 EDT after leaving home at about 8:30 their time ... i sure wish somebody would hurry up and invent the teleporter ... cuz you sure waste a lot of time in transit.
Sunday we didn't have too much time since we got up late and my sister had to work that night. We basically drove around and saw the town of Falmouth, where we were staying. To be nice the rest of the family decided to go eat at my sisters restaurant to see her, and so we had to eat fairly mediocre mexican meal. I guess we are just spoiled here in CA.
Monday we finally got rolling and did a full day driving tour of the entire cape which ended at the tip of the cape in Province Town. Along the way we counted the bagillion ice cream parlors in every town ... no wonder east coasters are such fatties, there is an ice cream shop and dunkin' donuts on every corner! That night we decided to continue to sit on our asses and watch Charlies Angels: Full Throttle, which despite being fun is still quite lame. I was pretty disappointed because I actually thought the first film was suprisingly fresh and worked well, but the only thing worth watching in this film is Bernie Mac.
Tuesday we hit up Martha's Vineyard, which basically ended up being another driving tour. We were seriously contemplating renting bikes or mopeds, but the guy we were going to rent from basically said "take the mopeds and you will probably die!" So for the sake of mom and sis we did the jeep thing, which was probably just as nice. When we got back from touring around the island we met up with a group of my sisters friends, had dinner, and then magically ended up a bar 'til 1 AM. After drinking the whole night I actually got to take my first breathalizer test ... 2 large shots + 6 rum & coke + 2 large rum punch = 0.078 :)
Wednesday we split up a bit ... my dad and I did some sea kayaking in some of the bays around the Falmouth while my mom and sis went out to the beach. right before returning the sea kayaks I was messing about and flipped my kayak ... that is a mistake. you would think its easy to flip them back over and just hop back in, but no, they actually fill with water very quickly and you pretty much have to take them out of the water to drain them. Luckily I was right by the shore, but if you were actually out a ways this would be a serious pain. blah blah ... tired of the details now.
maybe i'll finish up later.
