Off the Wall    [ Just Talk ]

This sat like this, unpublished, for a week ... thats how busy I have been :)

I played my first game of indoor soccer last night when I played as a guest on a team. Man what a different experience it was ... a lot of the dynamics of the game change from playing outdoor. I was totally shocked at how tired I got ... I mean I'm not exactly in great shape, but it only took a matter of minutes before I was spent. It seems that frequent substitutions are the norm with indoor.

The game was a good close match. We went up 5-2 pretty easily in the start of the game, but then we started to get a little disorganized and had a couple mishaps where we self scored. Coming into the last 2 minutes of the game we were down by 1, and just like in the movies we tied up the game in the last few seconds. We really should have won since we missed a couple easy goals, but oh well, it was fun anyways. Hopefully I'll get a chance to play some more and possibly make it on the team.

Governator    [ Just Talk ]

hmmm ... a new governor, and Schwarzeneggar at that. I am actually a bit excited to see what he can do. Some would say that his lack of experience is a problem, but sometimes it takes a total outsider to bring fresh perspective ... I think he'll do some good stuff for California.

Oh shit ... but wtf is up with the voting system? I had forgotten the fact that you can get your ballot and cast your vote without showing *any* form of identification! wtb!? The helper at my polling place simply asked for my address then name, then I just signed and was given my ballot. Why are they not asking for a valid ID? I am at a loss about this one.

Anyways ... I'm glad Davis is out and Arnie is in ... change is good.

Sac weekend    [ Just Talk ]

First off ... a milestone ... 100th post and definitely not going as strong as I could in terms of posting frequency, but oh well.

Now ... I feel like I need to echo my "Rhythem of Life" post from a short while ago, because I feel as if I am a bit beyond a good rhythem right now and practically on the verge of resonating. I could go into a list of event details, but bleh, that's not really what's on my mind. Maybe this should have been called "Pie" weekend? as I'm sure that's how I'll always think of it. Too much fun for words. really.

You know the kind of sleep you have when you are too anxious or excited about something and so you become restless? Yeah ... that's me right now. And it sucks because I don't deal too well with lack of sleep :( Oh well, I'll get it back some time.

Oh yeah, gotta mention the election today as well. In fact, I should check up on election coverage right now! Anways, fuck Davis, yes on recall! Its not so much that I even have any kind of first hand experience with California's problems, but after all the campaigning and talk it seems obvious that we need some change. Plus I love it when things change! Now, who is better? I am going with the Terminator, and not because I think he is perfect, but I like his mixture of policies and don't feel too good about most of the other choices. We'll see what happens.

Anyways ... Joy, that's all that needs to be said.
