Xerox/Oracle 3 - Sun 2    [ Just Talk ]

Well, not a great week of football for me. There is of course, as the title explains, the fact that we lost our first ever BABSL soccer game yesterday. Part of the problem was the fact that we only had 12 people available due to injuries (including me) and other commitments. We really should not have lost, but that's the way things go some times.

As if that wasn't bad enough, there is also the fact that now both England and France have been eliminated from euro 2004 :( Not that I have any particular ties to either team, but they are my favorites.

Ugh ... can't wait 'til I can play again!

Sun 11 - Cisco 2    [ Just Talk ]

Almost forgot to post the results of last weeks game. The score really doesn't reflect how well Cisco played though, because they actually played a good game and showed a lot of skill. Unfortunately they started with only 10 guys and I belive they just lacked the intensity they needed.

Anyways, I didn't do squat in the game because I twisted my knee earlier last week and therefore I'm sidelined 'til I get healed up :(

Stupid Total 90 IIIs    [ Just Talk ]

So I wanted to get soccer cleats about 3 months ago, and after looking for a while and trying some on I decided that I liked the nike total 90 II's. However the problem was that there weren't many available because nike was coming out with a new version in May.

So I waited 'til May and had to track down a pair, which took a bit of calling and effort to locate. Eventually I found a pair, tried them on in the store and they felt pretty good so I bought them.

I go out the same day to play in them and I come back with matching pairs of these ...

Now, not only do I have horrible blisters which are lame, but I need to figure out what to do with the cleats. I would like to just return them to the store, however that is often hard with soccer cleats because once they touch the field they get grass stained, etc. Mine look pretty damn new except for the very bottoms of the cleats which are a faint green color :(

And after all this I still don't have new cleats ... crap!

Love Me If You Dare    [ Movies ]

I saw this film with the fam on Friday and was totally blown away. This one is right up there on the list of the best films I've seen so far this year. This is a French film and the basic story is about 2 kids growing up who were enfatuated with playing the "dare" game (dare someone to do something, once they do it they choose one for you). You get to see them as children all the way through their lives and things get really interesting once the whole love element comes into play.

Anyways, this is easily one of the best films out right now so see it if you can.
