Oddly enough this shot kind of fell into my lap while I was driving to work one morning. There was a bad accident on the freeway so traffic was moving slow and since I had my camera with me and the sky was looking nifty I pulled it out and started snapping away from the drivers seat. Then, nicely enough, this big truck rolled right in front of me and provided something nice to silhouette in the foreground against the sky.
My main criticism with this shot is that I wish I would have changed the composition a bit and got less truck and more sky, but what can I say, I was kind of rushed since the truck was moving. In the end I think it turned out alright.

A couple new albums to speak of ...
Quantic - One Off's, Remixes, and B Sides
Boozoo Bajou - Jook Joint II
Quite frankly, I just can't get enough of Quantic these days, his beats are just so pristene. As you would expect this is a bit of a whirlwind tour of various things Quantic has worked on since it includes both original works that weren't released on previous albums, as well as remixes of various tracks, etc. Since opening this cd a few days ago I have already become enfatuated with the first track, Archipelago, along with a few others. Do yourself a favor and stay tuned to whatever this guy releases because I swear that he has the golden touch.

added a few new pics from the weekend.
i'm trying to get a better handle on exposure now that i've had my D70s for a little while and feel reasonably comfortable playing around with it. i've basically gotten to that point where i realized that i'm not really happy with the outcome of my pics when i just use the automagic settings, but i haven't quite figured out how to reliably shoot the exposure that i really want :|

I made another large commit today which basically finishes off the theme encapsulation work that I had scheduled for the upcoming Roller 3.1 release.
The proposal is basically meant as part 1 in a more complete plan to improve the overall theme support in Roller. This first step makes it so that themes are now fully encapsulated so that they no longer reference shared resources ouside of the scope of the weblog using the theme. The second part will be the fun part, which will actually include full import/export support for weblog themes so that it will be *much* easier to share themes between weblogs.
The one very nice side benefit that comes out of this inital work is that we've added support for true hierarchical management of resources uploaded to weblogs. So you can now organize your file uploads in folders =)
